One way in which we (in partnership with 3M ESPE) are working to modernize and improve the practice of dentistry throughout Vancouver Island is by distributing the Lava Chairside Oral Scanner (COS) for digital impressions. This cutting-edge device uses a scanning wand to capture detailed and accurate images of a patient's teeth, which our dental technicians can then use to design crowns and other dental restorations. The scanning process takes just five minutes, and is far easier and less invasive than a traditional dental impression.
